Write the script with joy
Say you want to write the script for an anchor/voiceover/sound bite story. You drag the source wire, select the script template and start typing. With OCTOPUS scripts elements you combine all the elements in one script. The anchor name and other supers, together with clips and soundbites and other editorial and technical commands are easily entered on the left hand side of the double column script. OCTOPUS’S unique text formatting feature lets you emphases text on the prompter. Keep track of the duration with automatic text duration counting. Every user can simply set up their individual reading speed. And every three minutes, your script is autosaved so you can return to any of the revised version.

Pre-built rundown templates are always ready for you
Rundown templates in OCTOPUS are automatically scheduled by our unique show scheduler. Then all you have to do is pick up your stories and drag them in to position. Reorganizing the rundown takes a matter of seconds right up until air time, or once the program has started. Rundowns are also automatically activated and sent to playout devices at the precise time and then either finally deleted or archived. OCTOPUS does all the housekeeping for you.
