OCTOPUS VIDEO TWISTER. TWISTER encodes and/or transcodes high resolution files and live streams in various formats from various NLEs, videoservers or SAN/NAS, for various applications. Live video is streamed to the OCTOPUS client to monitor agency feeds, packages are encoded to lowres for editorial review, files from NLE are transcoded for the videoserver playout, and all the clips are encoded to Windows Media, Quicktime or Real Media for web page use.
OCTOPUS VIDEO TWISTER controls one or more independent encoding/transcoding stations - Video Agents – in performing their jobs. TWISTER acts as an agent manager controlled by a third-party. This way, any program interfacing TWISTER assigns a new job to the agents, checks the job status, reorders the jobs queue, and can cancel running jobs.
